| Description |
English: Japanese Knotweed (flowers) at Tolpuddle This shows the flower buds which will turn into small white flowers. Although it is an extremely nasty weed it can be treated in several ways. A herbicide such as Glyphosate can be used but it usually needs several applications over a period of time. It can be dug up but care has to be taken that every single fragment of root is removed and is subsequently disposed of in a way that it will not propagate again. Before any action is taken the local council should be informed and professional advice taken. This plant is next to a bridle path in Tolpuddle. |
