Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Lyso-phospholipid-induced cell death. The addition of 20 µM lyso-PC, a product of PLA2 enzymatic activity, intoxicated cells without cell rounding, nuclear shrinkage, or the membrane blebbing phenotype. The nucleus and cell swelled upon cell lysis, which is characteristic of necrosis. Cells were visualized by staining with SYTOX green, CellMask plasma membrane stain (red), Hoechst 33342 (blue). The images were acquired by time-lapse microscopy for 40 min with 30 sec interval.
