Inscriptions
English: UNESCO Campaign to safeguard the Monuments of Nubia. Great Temple. Height 110 ft., width 127 ft. Built during the XIXth Dynasty. On the façade, four colossi about 67 ft. in height represent Rameses II (1290-1223 B.C.). The entire work is 210 ft. in depth and hollowed out in the mountainside.
Français : Campagne lancée par l'UNESCO pour la sauvegarde des Monuments de Nubie. Grand Temple (hauteur 33 m., largeur 38 m.), oeuvre de la XIXe Dynastie. Sur la façade, quatre colosses d'une hauteur d'environ 20 mètres, représentant Ramsès II (1290-1223 avant J.C.). L'ensemble, dont la profondeur est de 63 m., est entièrement taillé dans le roc.
