Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Intake for the Bonnington Power Station These gates divert water from the River Clyde into the penstock serving the Bonnington Power Station, the oldest hydro-electric power station in Scotland, built 1927. Intake of water at this point provides a head of water of 51 metres for the power station, but drastically limits the amount of water pouring over Bonnington Linn and Cora Linn, two of the Falls of Clyde.
