Description
English: Information plaque at Portcille The place from where St Colmcille is supposed to have had his last look at Derry before sailing to Iona. The plaque has a quote from a 7th century scribe Beccan Mac Luigdech saying "He turned away from Ireland, he entered a pact, he crossed in ships the sanctuary of whales."
