Description

Man holding his hat at arms length on boat in the Industrial Canal, New Orleans, 1925.

Presumably this is along the section between Gentilly Road and the lakefront, as no development is seen along the sides of the Canal.

This is one of a series of photographs taken in the early years of the Inner Harbor Navigation Canal, known locally as the Industrial Canal. (photograph courtesy of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District)
