Description |
Krishna makes a bed of leaves for a secret tryst, and, in the middle, he spies on his beloved Radha, in orange and gold, and her sakhi, which means "confidante" in Sanskrit. This painting illustrates a scene from a poem in which a devotee imagines being god's lover, in order to feel more viscerally the emotional fervor of devotion. |
