Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Percentiles of the distribution of family income in the US with the average annual growth rate of each 1981-2008 using US Census Table F-1 and Piketty & Saez (http://elsa.berkeley.edu/~saez). There are systematic differences between the census data (based on family surveys) and Piketty & Saez (using IRS data), but these differences are small relative to the differences between percentiles and over time.
