Nederlands: Bioscoopjournaals waarin Nederlandse onderwerpen van een bepaalde week worden gepresenteerd.; In de haven van Spaarndam arriveert de "Pieter Geertruida", een schip dat speciaal is ingericht voor de vangst van paling. Een bijzonderheid aan dit schip is dat de gevangen paling aan boord in leven wordt gehouden in speciale tanks. SHOTS: Schip vaart de haven binnen; de palingen worden met schepnetten overgeheveld in tonnen welke op hun beurt weer geleegd worden in speciale drijvende fuiken waarin de paling levend wordt bewaard.
English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.; The "Pieter Geertruida", a ship especially build for catching eel, arrives in the harbour of Spaarndam. Special about this ship is that the caught eel is kept alive in special tanks on board. SHOTS: Ship enters the harbour; the eels are put into barrels with landing nets which are then emptied in special floating fyke nets. In there the eels are kept alive.
