English: Title: Il sogno di Giacò Slonfer
Abstract: Italian political cartoon shows an Austrian soldier asleep beneath a tree on the lower right, he is holding two cats labeled "Trieste" and "Tirolo" by their tails; a large snake labeled "Prussia" is coiled around the tree and has a balloon labeled "Protezione" in its mouth. The Austrian soldier appears to be dreaming, shown from left to center as many Austrian soldiers with swords pursue two coins labeled "5 Centesimi Bosgnia" and "5 Centesimi Erzegovina"; encountering the coins proves fatal for the soldiers who all end up impaled, possibly on their own swords. At the lower left, a man representing Italy, possibly Umberto I, is holding up a golden chicken labeled "Italiana"; on the ground before him is a foundation stone labeled "Trattato del 66".
