English: Houses below boats? The unusual topology of the area around Fosdyke Bridge can be seen here. People in their houses can see boats above them. The boats are actually on dry land in a boatyard, with the river Welland off to the right. But on a high tide the river level is still above the house level. I bet the flood bank, which we are walking along, is well maintained. |
