Description
Français : Hotel des Colonnes à Waterloo où Victor Hugo résida en 1860 lorsqu'il visita le site de la bataille de 1815. Il acheva de rédiger "les Misérables" dans sa chambre, au dessus de la porte d'entrée principale. Ce bâtiment a été démoli en 1963. Carrefour de la N5 et de la N27, section NW.
English: The Column's Hoetl in Waterloo where Victor Hugo stayed in 1860 when he visited the 1815 battlefield. He completed "les Misérables" in his room above the main entrance. The buiding was teared down in 1963 to accommodate for heavy traffic despite worldwide protest. (location : crossroad of N5 and N27, NW segment)
