English: Hop garden, Syndale Bottom. Once very common in this area serving the breweries in Faversham, hop gardens are now few and far between. Note the poplar windbreak along the northern edge.
Wires run from pole to pole in both directions and from the wires string provides a guide and support for the hop bines. |
