  • Significance: Restored in 1966, the Fayerweather House is now part of the Fayerweather Craft Center. This dwelling, and the one nearby, were owned by free blacks who were part of an "important blacksmithing family in the area, with a forge in continuous operation into the 1920s." (Buildings of Rhode Island, p. 388-89)
