Notes
  • Significance: The design of this large frame house has been attributed to Peter Harrison and there is a similarity in siding between the Bannister House and the Redwood Library. The siding on both structures has been sanded and has a rusticated appearance. The house was demolished in the 1950s, however, the stair hall and parlors are preserved in the Winterthur Museum.
  • Survey number: HABS RI-141
  • Building/structure dates: 1765 Initial Construction
  • Building/structure dates: 1957 Demolished
