Nederlands: Bioscoopjournaals waarin Nederlandse onderwerpen van een bepaalde week worden gepresenteerd.; Buisjesdag in de haven van Scheveningen. Haringvissers nemen afscheid van hun vrouwen en kinderen en vertrekken met hun loggers uit de haven, uitgezwaaid door talloze toeschouwers. Het hospitaal-kerkschip De Hoop vaart achter de schepen aan, met aan boord minister Anne Vondeling. In de buurt van Schotland vissen de schepen op haring, die in vaten wordt gestopt en op snellere schepen wordt overgeladen. De logger Scheveningen 201 Sigurda komt als eerste met Hollandse nieuwe in de thuishaven aan, opgewacht door tientallen belangstellenden.
English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.; 'Buisjesdag' (the day before the Dutch herring fleet puts out to sea) in the harbour of Scheveningen. Herring fishermen say goodbye to their wives and children and sail their luggers out of the harbour, send off by countless spectators. The hospital-churchship De Hoop (The Hope) follows the ships, with on board minister Anne Vondeling. Near Schotland the ships fish for herring, which is then put into barrels and transferred to faster ships. The lugger Scheveningen 201 Sigurda is the first to arrive with 'Hollandse nieuwe' (Dutch early season herrings, eaten raw) in the home port, welcomed by several spectators. |
