Nederlands: Het IJ bij de Nieuwe Brug in de winter, gezien naar het oostenRechts is een stuk van de Nieuwe Brug over het Damrak te zien. In het midden staat het gebouw van het Zeerecht, gebouwd in 1618. Hier vergaderden de commissarissen voor de Zeezaken. In de 19e eeuw werd er het kantoor voor de stedelijke accijnzen op goederen gehuisvest. Daarna werd het toegewezen aan de stadsingenieur en het Stadswaterkantoor. In 1878 werd het gebouw afgebroken. Op het bevroren Binnen IJ wordt geschaatst en kolf gespeeld. In de verte links op het Buiten IJ zijn ook nog schaatsers te zien.
