"West Farms July 3d 1829
Dear Richard
Colonel Burr has been at Our House this day and Stated that he had money plenty in his hands Belonging to the estate of Midcalf Eaton and that as soon as I was duly Authorised to reseive it he was ready to Sign [illegible] the debt in favour of fathers estate therefore I think the sooner the thing is brought to a close the better while the old man is in the humour Hannah [illegible] [illegible] her love to you all In Haste I remain Dr Richard Yours Truly Henry U. Plant P.S. Please pay attention to the above as Burr is quite infirm”
