English: Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
At the request of the UN, the "Evertsen" has served in the waters around Korea from July 1950 until April 1951. The ship is now relieved by the "Van Galen" and returns to its home port Den Helder. SHOTS: -The ship becomes visible on the horizon and approaches slowly; - on the quay a huge number of waving relatives awaits; - the ship enters the harbour; - UN-flag in the mast-head; crew lined up on deck; -when the ship has moored, the wife and daughter of the commander D.J. van Doorninck come aboard and greet their husband and father; - the crew members pour onto the quay and greet their relatives; - relatives go aboard and walk on the deck; - UN-flag blows on the mast.

Op verzoek van de VN heeft de "Evertsen" van juli 1950 tot april 1951 dienst gedaan in de wateren rond Korea. Het schip is nu afgelost door de "Van Galen" en keert terug in de thuishaven Den Helder. SHOTS: - Het schip wordt aan de einder zichtbaar en komt langzaam naderbij; - op de kade wacht een enorme menigte zwaaiende familieleden; - het schip vaart de haven binnen; VN-vlag in top; bemanning aangetreden aan dek; - als het schip heeft aangelegd komen als eerste de vrouw en het dochtertje van commandant ltz I D.J. van Doorninck aan boord en begroeten hun man en vader; - de bemanningsleden stromen de wal op en begroeten hun verwanten; - familieleden gaan het schip op en lopen over het dek; - VN-vlag wappert aan de mast. |
