Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Groynes south of Withernsea, East Riding of Yorkshire, England.
The groynes exist to hold back the flow of sand and gravel, and finish at the end of the sea defences. Beyond that are clay cliffs which erode very rapidly, and as can be seen here, the erosion is forming a bay south of Withernsea. In the distance is the Out Newton Wind Farm.
