| Description |
English: Great walk in. Down the mountain from Sir Watkin's tower. This is above the Llandegla Forest trees and the path down goes beside the forest until you meet the Offa's Dyke Path which goes left to right across the picture.The five stripes in the heather with a cleared patch each side are a text book modern gouse butt, the birds are driven towards the strips where they break cover to escape or be shot by hunters who stand in the cleared areas. The effect is achieved by slashing the heather down to ground level.SJ2649 |
