Description

Brimham Rocks, North Yorkshire, England. Showing the front (east) end of the narrow hole which goes right through the Great Cannon rock. It is less than 1ft diameter at the widest circumference. You can just see a speck of light at the end. The National Trust had no record of the original Great Cannon, but luckily the local climbing clubs retained the name. Great Cannon, Cannon Rock or The Cannon is the oldest known named rock on this SSSI site.

Showing some of the holes at the back (west side) of Cannon Rock - these holes don't go right through.
