Great Cannon, Cannon Rock or The Cannon is one of the earliest known rock names (along with Little Cannon) on the Brimham Rocks SSSI site, in North Yorkshire, England. It is so named because the straight, narrow hole through the rock looks as if a cannon ball has been shot through it. Hayman Rooke mentioned the Great Cannon in a lecture in 1876.
