Highsmith Archive.; Title, date and keywords based on information provided by the photographer.; The cemetery, in which graves date as far back as the Revolutionary War, is built on, and around, a Hopewellian mound, known as the Romney Indian Mound. Indian Mound Cemetery is also the site of Fort Pearsall, the Confederate Memorial, Parsons Bell Tower, and reinterments from Romney's Old Presbyterian Cemetery.
