Español: Figura 1. Las células que expresan GFRa2+ forman una línea de células epiteliales no secretoras, en la pituitaria adulta de ratas y ratones.

En la pituitaria de la rata, las células GFRa2+ (rojas) se disponen en una línea precisa en la frontera entre la AP y la IL.
B) Las células LH-FSH teñidas en verde, mediante inmunohistoquímica.

Las células GFRa2+ (en rojo), alineadas o dispersas no expresan ninguna hormona hipofisaria.
