Español: Foto infrarroja de la temperatura media global, tomada con el obturador de la cámara abierto durante todo el mes de abril de 2013, detectando tanto el calor de la superficie de la Tierra como de las nubes. Se puede apreciar la insolación de los grandes desiertos y zonas secas de temporada en la India. También el cinturón ecuatorial de nubes y lluvias, el cual va asociado a las nubes altas y frías de la convergencia intertropical, así como nubes monzónicas de Sudamérica y África, y nubes de mayores latitudes. Nótese el frío de los polos y la meseta tibetana.
