Nederlands: Gemaal Trouw. Een gemaal is een pompinstallatie. Die regelt de waterstandent. Een gemaalt pompt water uit een gebied of laat er juist water in. De gemalen Trouw en Noordermeer regelen de waterhuishouding in het westen van het eiland Voorne. Een gebied zo groot als 37.000 voetbalvelden. Gemaal Trouw pompt het overtollige water in het Kanaal door Voorne. Hollandse Delta zorgt met gemalen voor voldoende water in Zuid-Holland-Zuid voor mensen, dieren en planten. |
