Nederlands: gemaal Breeman. Gemaal Breeman staat in Barendrecht aan de rivier de Oude Maas. Het gemaal is de spil in de waterhuishouding rond Barendrecht. Het gebied is zo groot als 7.000 voetbalvelden. Ook de wijk Carnisselande hoort erbij. Gemaal Breeman houdt de waterstand op het juiste niveau. Het werkt volautomatisch. In droge periodes laat het gemaal water het gebied in. Gemaal Breeman is gebouwd in 1957. Het is gerenoveerd in 1970 en in 2006. |
