Summary
[edit]DescriptionGatepost on Greave Pasture - geograph.org.uk - 57410.jpg |
English: Gatepost on Greave Pasture. The grooves on the gatepost are for "shuttling poles". The opposite post has plain round holes. One end of a pole of the correct length was placed in the round hole and the other end slid into the groove, thus forming a temporary gate/fence. |
