| Description |
English: Galashiels Golf Course. This is a view from the rough at the 15th hole on the high part of the course, down to the 4th and 5th fairways on the low part of the course with golfers on the 4th green. The difference in elevation from this viewpoint to the 4th fairway is approximately 90m or 295 feet. The height difference from the lowest part of the course at the 2nd tee and the highest part of the course at the 12th tee is approximately 140m or 460 feet. Ladhope Burn runs from Ladhope Moor by the dyke on the left.
Update on Galashiels Golf Course:- As from Sunday 2nd March 2008, the course ceased to be an 18 hole layout and has been reduced to 9 holes. As a result, the holes on the high part of the course have been made redundant, and the 4th fairway now doubles up as the 2nd and 11th holes, while the 5th fairway doubles up for the 3rd and 12th holes. Further update on Galashiels Golf Course:- The course layout was rearranged again on 4/4/09 so that the old 4th fairway now doubles up as the 5th and 14th holes, and the old 5th fairway doubles up as the 6th and 15th holes. |
