  • Significance: This fountain provided free ice water to the public. Everyday ice was placed in an underground cistern to cool water. It cost $2,300 to build and was erected by the Grand Division of the Sons of Temperance. It was moved to Independence Square in 1877. It was removed in 1969, and is currently in storage.
