Summary
[edit]DescriptionFormer Whitedale station house. Now a private residence (geograph 6675434).jpg |
English: Former Whitedale station house. Now a private residence, Withernwick, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. Whitedale Station was opened in March 1864 by the Hull and Hornsea Railway. Supposedly named after a nearby farmhouse, it served the Rise Estate and had two waiting rooms, one for the gentry. The line closed completely May 1965, it is now the Hornsea Rail Trail and the eastern section of the Trans Pennine Trail. There is a sloping driveway up to the level of the platform in the left foreground. |
