Summary
[edit]DescriptionFormer Skelbo railway station (geograph 5936946).jpg |
English: Former Skelbo railway station A station on the Dornoch Light Railway, which ran from Dornoch north to The Mound, where it joined the main line between Inverness and Wick/Thurso. The station opened in 1902 and closed to traffic on 13 June 1960. The building behind was originally just a cottage, but was taken over as the crossing keeper's house when the railway opened, and is officially known as Station House. It has since been extended and is now a holiday cottage and called 'Oystercatchers'. |
