Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Fishing Lodge, Countesspark Wood. Said to be built by Canadian Airmen during World War 2 in exchange for fishing rights which were granted by the Duke of Northumberland. On one of our many visits to the picnic table on the riverside of the lodge we saw the present Duke catch a salmon which he put back in the river because "it was coloured". Evidently last year's fish! The lodge has two bedrooms.
