Summary
[edit]DescriptionFirst ever FrontRunner Sunday service, Jun 16.webm |
English: For the first time ever, the Utah Transit Authority's (UTA) FrontRunner provided Sunday fare service (not including late, late Saturday night service) when a train pulled out of the Provo station at 5:55 am on Sunday 26 June 2016. According to UTA, an unidentified third party subsidized the service such the it was able to provide very limited Sunday service at regular fare to assist with transportation to the Warriors Over the Wasatch airshow at Hill Air Force Base. The service was limited to just three trains in each direction in the morning (from the Provo and Ogden station to the Clearfield station) and three more trains in the late afternoon (from Clearfield to Ogden and Provo). UTA also provided shuttle service between the Clearfield station and the airshow on the base. According to the Deseret News, attendance was anticipated to exceed 300,000 each of the two days of the airshow (Saturday and Sunday). |
