Summary
[edit]DescriptionFilip Guraziu.webm |
Filip Guraziu is the son of Pjerin Guraziu, an educated intellectual from the West, who held the position of head of finance at the Ministry of Agriculture until he was executed by the communist state in 1951. Pjerin Guraziu's execution is linked to the dynamite explosion thrown into the courtyard of the former Soviet Embassy building in Tirana on February 19, 1951. The announcement that his father had been executed as an "enemy of the people" was learned by Filip Guraziu's family, who was only 7 years old at the time, after his execution by the dictatorship's executioners. He describes the night of February 22, 1951, as a starless night where his confession would be fatal. In 1993, the "red pit" was discovered, where the victims of February 26 were thrown alive and later shot, including Pjerin Guraziu. Filip testifies that: "Apart from the bones, I also found and held in my hands the pieces of my father's black camp, the emotion called upon memory, and memory brought me to the corridor of the house, the black camp made of tar on his leg, calm from afar, he left me a message: Never communism!" |
