My Dear Dick
Your kind letter was received some time since but my time has been so much occupied that I have hardly had time to breathe. while Walt & Jennie were here I was out every night until 12 oclock & since they left I have had to attend to business that I was forced to neglect while they were here. I received a letter from Your Father day before yesterday they are all well. Walt & Jennie arrive in Waterloo last Saturday night. they got in the express train at Albany & were carried to Geneva before they could get out. they came down from Geneva the same eve in the freight train. Kate Truman rec’d a letter from Molly Hunt to night but I have not read it. Last week the weather was very fine here but to day, it has been snowing & hailing with a strong wind. it now begins to look as if you would after all have a chance to skate some on the"

Brother Richard has got a situation & a hardware store in this city & will probably remain here all this year. it makes it very pleasant to have him with me.
