Summary
[edit]DescriptionFaulkes Telescope image of 2011MD.jpg |
English: An image of 2011MD as it passed close by the earth on 27 June 2011. This is a combination of three separate images, taken sequentially with different filters. The stars in the background are stationary, while the meteor is moving across the frame - causing the three coloured lines. The image was taken by Nick Howes using Faulkes Telescope North, owned and operated by Las Cumbres Observatory Global Telescope Network.
