Description
Nederlands: Lithografie van de wolfabriek Lieutenant & Peltzer aan de rivier de Vesdre in Pepinster, België, afgedrukt in het album La Belgique Industrielle uit 1850. In 1921 kwam het bedrijf onder de naam Textile de Pepinster in handen van de Maastrichtse ondernemers en broers Jules (II) en Georges Regout, echtgenoten van de zussen Adrienne en Jeanne Lieutenant, dochters van Alfred Lieutenant. De fabriek sloot in 1976.
Français : Lithographie de l'usine lainière de Lieutenant et Petzer sur la rivière Vesdre à Pépinster en Belgique. Impression extraite de La Belgique Industrielle de 1850. Fondée en 1815 elle passe en 1826 dans les mains de Lieutenant et Peltzer de Verviers. En 1921 Jules et Georges Regout de Maastricht, reprennent la direction. Ils avaient épousé les soeurs Adrienne et Jeanne Lieutenant, filles de Alfred Lieutenant. Après un grave incendie en 1939 et des dégâts de guerre en 40-44, l'usine fut reconstruite en grande partie. En 1961 l'usine est revendue à un investisseur Allemand. Elle ferme en 1976 suite à quoi les bâtiments furent donnés en location à de petites entreprises. En 2019 on y voit de la démolition malgré que le bâtiment ait été repris sur la liste des monuments industriels dignes de conservation en Wallonie.
