English: This was first broadcast on the above date on the NBC Huntley–Brinkley Report. Mere broadcasting does not constitute publication, but the film was also distributed to various other news organizations (none of which decided to broadcast the film themselves, but this still counts). Film of that day's Huntley–Brinkley Report is not easily attainable, but NBC did not regularly affix copyright notices to their news broadcasts, nor were copyrights for any Huntley–Brinkley Report episode ever registered (because the broadcasts were rarely syndicated and most materials used on the report were not distributed).
The portion of the film actually broadcast on television was three minutes before the gunshot, and then six seconds after – a superset of this clip.
