Description
English: Aprobado: Decreto 16/1989, de 7 de febrero, por el que se autoriza al Ayuntamiento de Abla (Almería), para adoptar su Escudo Heráldico Municipal. (BOJA 3/3/1989)

Descripción: Escudo Cortado. Primero, de gules, pórtico romano, centrado por tres columnas acabadas en capitel y cubiertas de un frontón de oro, superado de la inscripción "ABVLA" en letras de plata. Segundo, de azur, torre de plata. Al timbre, corona real cerrada.

Significado: El pórtico y la inscripción -Abula era el nombre romano de la localidad- rememoran la importancia de la ciudad en época romana. La torre recuerda la influencia árabe y su carácter defensivo.
