Description
Nederlands: Epitaaf van Arnold I van Merode († 1487), proost van Onze Lieve Vrouwe in Aken, Onze Lieve Vrouwe in Maastricht, Sint-Joris in Wassenberg, enz. in de door hem gestichte Sint-Nicolaaskapel van de Dom van Aken. Links Sint-Matthias, de patroonheilige van de familie Merode. In het midden Maria met kindje Jezus en het wapenschild van Merode met als hartschild het wapen van Pietersem. Rechts de knielende Arnold van Merode met zijn bewaarengel en een demon.
