Summary
[edit]DescriptionEmbankment at the Marsh, Greenfield - geograph.org.uk - 669012.jpg |
English: Embankment at the Marsh, Greenfield Looking westwards along the old embankment, towards the "Fun Ship" in the distance. The "Duke of Lancaster" was originally a passenger railway steamer which was converted to a car ferry for the Heysham/Belfast route. When she finally retired, she was sold and moved to Llanerch-y-M?r in 1978 to be used as a static leisure centre and market and it was at that time that she became known as the "Fun Ship". |
