We have been requested to enquire of you whether you would sell a quantity of wheat by contract. The terms afford are 8/2 for five to ten thousand Bushels deliverable in June or July and payable on delivery. The person who wishes to contract is Rufus Lord, we believe him responsible for any contract he might make. We have made considerable enquiry about wheat amongst the dealers, and find the general opinion is that 100 cts will be about the price next summer, we are also of opinion that considering the high price of other grain a less price than the above can hardly be expected. We have sold your Butter at 11 cts, Beeswax @ 30cts 2 [peaches]? @ $4/4 pr Bush. We will forward you a general acct sales with act current on 1st February, the time we take our inventory
