Description
English: East Lyn valley The interlocking spurs are the hallmark of a youthful, rapidly-flowing river, but just beyond is Lynmouth, the river's mouth. This, combined with the sheer depth of the valley, representing the fall of the river bed from the heights of the moor together with the area of the catchment, helps to explain the power behind the terrible events of 1952. http://www.exmoor-nationalpark.gov.uk/the_lynmouth_floods_of_1952_exmoor And this is just one of the valleys reaching the sea at Lynmouth.
