Description
English: Marʉaweka--Today's lesson: telling someone "Get ready!"

Here we have the late Betty Cable Pete saying the command "Get Ready!" two times. This is from a video of conversational phrases the Comanche Language and Cultural Preservation Committee produced. We thank them for all of their hard work over the years to get us on this road. Namakamuki! (Get ready) namakamuki (verb stem-prepare oneself/get self ready) This can also be interpreted as Get ready! or Get yourself ready! or Prepare yourself! This is how you would tell one person only. There are different ways to say it to two people exactly or a group of 3 or more people. Listen carefully to the speakers and then... Listen, repeat, and practice! #LRP

And remember the only way to do language wrong is to not do it at all!
