  • Significance: Mill occupies site bought from Indians in 1663. 1st mill built 1664, fulling mill deeded to Kenelm Winslow 1696, fulling mill burned 1760 and woolen mill built on site. Woolen mill burned 1870 and present mill built 1872. Area is one of first factory villages in U.S.A.
