Summary
[edit]DescriptionDrum fill gated reverb (using reverb + noise gate, in parallel to the dry sound, with dry sound sidechain).ogg |
English: Gated reverb drum fill (toms + snare). The pattern is reminiscent of Phil Collins drum part in the song Intruder by Peter Gabriel, the first song to feature gated reverb.
Drums: Addictive Drums 2 plugin, Gretsch Kit (roundbage toms) and Ludwig snare (14x5', 20's Brass). Reverb : Valhalla Vintage Verb plugin. 3,61s decay, no predelay, longer decay time for frequencies under 7590Hz (decay x1,50). The reverb is in parallel. Noise Gate : FabFilter Pro G. Release 30,06 ms Hold 0ms, Attack 0ms. The release controls the actual length of the reverb. Here the reverb only lasts 30 milliseconds. The dry drum sounds is routed to the sidechain input of the Noise Gate, triggering its opening and closing. |
