Water quality in Downfall Creek can deteriorate suddenly if material washes down storm water drains.

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Heavy rain can turn the water black, due to extreme levels of dust sized particles derived from vehicle tyres. Rain flushes these micro-particles off the roads and into the storm water system, which discharges directly into Downfall Creek.
