English: Dooneen Mine quartz vein This narrow promontory is a quartz vein stained with copper mineralisation that juts out into the sea near Allihies. The green staining would certainly have attracted early miners, and the entrance to the adit level to the Dooneen Mine lies at the foot of the cliffs. |
